AUSTRALIA HERE WE COME !!!

Wat doet een mama van 2 op zo'n avond als deze. Kids vroeg in bed, pappie voetballen, en niks op TV. Juist, op de pc spelen :-) en genieten van een warme chocomelk. En zo nieuwsgierig en ongeduldig als ik ben, ben ik toch nog even de status gaan checken van ons visum. "Huh, die lijst was toch langer. Ah, 'applicant approved'. Watte, ... , yes, yes, yes,... goedgekeurd!" Het had toch wel even nodig voor ik besefte wat er stond :-). Je zou voor minder. Net geen 4 jaar heeft het geduurd (op 1 dag na geen 4 jaar). 29 januari 2006 begon ons avontuur met een infodag in Amsterdam en ons doorzettingsvermogen is vandaag beloond.
Weg chocomelk, welkom West Vleteren hier op mijn bureautje! Even feestje bouwen met Siebe die wakker werd en dit feestje niet wilde missen :-).

What is a mother of 2 doing on an evening like this. Kids in bed early, pappie playing soccer and nothing on the TV. Right, playing on the computer :-) and enjoying a hot choclate. As curious and inpatience as I am, a quick check on our visa status. "Huh, that list used to be much longer. Ah, 'applicant approved'. What, ..., yes, yes, yes, ... approved!" It took a while before I realised what that meant :-). Not yet the full 4 years it took us to get the visa. January 29, 2006 our adventure started at an infoday in Amsterdam and today our courage and patience is rewarded.
Bye bye hot choclate, welcome 'West Vleteren' (a belgian abbye beer) on my desk! Let's party with Siebe who woke up and wanted to party with mammie :-).
